Jack is 6 months old!!

Our little man is 6 months old today!! He is getting SOOOO big! He is all giggles and smiles and is such a good baby. He is starting to sit up on his own (for a few seconds!) and is getting more into playing with his toys and of course chewing on everything. He loves anything that plays music! Big brother loves him bunches, he's always trying to make him smile and laugh. And Jack loves him right back - thinks he's hilarious! :) We've been trying out baby food these last couple weeks - so far his favorites are squash and pears! He finally rolled over from his back to his tummy last night - or at least that's what Daddy and Drew tell me! I was gone and he did it while they weren't looking! Hasn't done it again yet, though....

It's hard to put into words how much joy this little guy brings - his face just lights up when you go in to get him when he wakes up in the morning, and he's so sweet when he pulls your face towards his with his mouth wide open and plants a wet one right on your cheek! He babbles all the time and still loves to make that high pitched squeal! It's been such a fun 6 months watching him grow - I just wish it didn't go by so fast! We love you, little man Jack!

Worlds of Fun!

Brian and I took Drew to Worlds of Fun today! We have wanted to take him all summer but we just never got there. It ended up to be great, though, because it was so nice outside today and there were no crowds! Drew had a blast - riding rides with Mommy and Daddy, that is......he wouldn't go on anything by himself. Not sure what that is all about....hopefully it's just another phase!

Daddy and Drew on the "big steam engine" train!

Taxis!

Watch out - Drew is driving!

Drew and Mommy on the flying boats!

Stomping on the squares to make music in Camp Snoopy...

There was a big indoor playground with a million balls that you could put in tubes and shoot them out into the air! Drew just thought that was great!

Look! The ball is flying in the air all by itself!
Riding the "Wacky Worm" - the 1st of 6 times!! Check out Daddy and Drew's faces - they kind of resemble the wacky worm.... :)

Now we're in the back of the taxi!

Drew LOVED the Viking Voyager - rode it 3 times - each time we got off all we heard was "I wanna do it again!"

Going down the big hill with the big splash!

Deanna Rose

Last weekend Grandma and Grandpa were here for a quick visit, so we all took the boys to Deanna Rose Farmstead on Saturday. It was a beautiful day! Drew loved the animals and the playgrounds, but especially all the tractors! Jack wasn't so sure about those goats, but he was a good baby all day! After the farmstead, we went to Uncle Brad and Aunt Rachel's for a little bit, then to Drew's friend Neely's birthday party, then back to Brad and Rachel's for a BBQ! Whew! It was a long day, both boys konked out in the car on the way home, and I successfully got both of them into bed without waking them up! :)

Pooltime!

Happy Birthday, Mimi!

A few weeks ago we celebrated Mimi's birthday with dinner at Bravo. It was a fun night with Mimi, Papa, Uncle Ryan, and Aunt Susie!

Drew wanted to go up on stage with the guitar player at Zona Rosa...

Mimi opening up her necklace that Drew painted for her at Kaleidescope.

Big hugs for Mimi! Eeeeeee - naaaaaaaa!

Mimi with her two doodlebugs. :)

"Drew and Mommy Day"

On the last Friday before Mommy went back to school, Drew and I went to Fritz's Train Restaurant and Kaleidescope! Drew was so excited and kept calling it "Drew and Mommy Day". We had a ton of fun just the two of us, eating burgers and drinking milkshakes delivered by a choo choo trian right to our table! Then we went down to Kaleidescope where Drew got to make music and lots of art projects! We even made a stop in the Crown Center toy store afterwards where Drew picked out a new crane truck to take home. It was a great way to end the summer with my favorite 3 year old boy!!!

Here is Drew trying to climb the Fritz's train outside the restaurant...

Here comes our food dropped off by the little red train!

Hamburgers and milkshakes - what more could a little boy want?!

Drew's favorite part of Kaleidescope was the little room where he could push all kinds of buttons to make crazy sounds and music!

Coloring a snake!

He also loved turning the wheel to make his picture into a puzzle!!

Bathtime Fun!

Jack loves bathtime, especially now that he has outgrown the baby bathtub and gets to sit in the tub like a big boy! He splashes like crazy and loves to chew on the washcloth. :)
