Go Royals!!!

Brian was lucky enough to get 2 tickets from a guy at work for a very good price to go to the Royals playoff game on Tuesday night.  Drew was so excited - and even more so after THEY WON!  After TWELVE innings!  It was a crazy game - one that I hope he'll remember for a long time!!  They didn't get home until after midnight and he was telling me all about it.  Jack wanted to go (or so he thought - I know he would have been ready to go home after about an hour and he NEVER would have lasted 12 innings!) so I told him we could go to Target and look at ninja turtles and have an icee and pizza for dinner.  We also tried on some of the funny Halloween accessories they had and ended up coming home with some new turtles!

Ready to go!
After we put Luke to bed we were watching the game - well, I was watching the game and Jack was making a rocketship out of a diaper box.  Love that kid's imagination!

Apple Pickin' Time!

We have a fall tradition of going to Alldredge Orchard in Platte City and picking apples.  This year Uncle Brad, Aunt Rachel and Parker went with us!  The boys loved having Parker there, too.  It was a perfect day and the boys got to feed the chickens, goats and horses and play in the kiddie area.  Then we loaded Parker and Luke up in wagons and headed to the apple trees!  Brian, Brad and Drew used the big apple picker to find us some good apples and we ended up with 2 big baskets full.  (Which Luke thought were fun to dump out over and over again!)  Jack also picked out a couple little pumpkins to take home.  We had lunch together afterwards at Minsky's before heading home for naps for the little guys!  We all had so much fun and can't wait to go again next year!
Once again, my little model - sits on this pumpkin and wants me to take his picture!
Wonder what these two are talking about...
Jack found this teeny tiny apple.  He even took it to school to share!

Luke's First Haircut

Luke had his first haircut a couple weeks ago.  It was getting pretty long on top and in the back, and would stick up in a rooster tail!  I took him to Sarah, the girl who cuts my hair.  He did really well sitting on my lap but didn't care for the sucker she gave him!  He would try it and then make a face and push it away - we even tried a different flavor but he threw that one on the floor!  She didn't cut too much off because Mommy didn't want him looking TOO big yet!  I should have had her do a little more, though, because he already needs another one!  I was there by myself, so thankfully another stylist came over and snapped some pictures for me.

My first sucker!
Before...
Quit sticking that thing in my mouth!
Something is funny!
Ok, I'll try this one...
Right before he chucked it on the floor.
After!  Sarah was playing peek-a-boo with him, the only way we could get him to look!
