Drew got to go golfing for the first time today with Papa and Daddy. They played all 18 holes and Drew was SO excited that he got to drive the golf cart. He is getting to be a pretty good little golfer and was the only one who didn't lose any balls. He came home and told me he got a hole in two and a hole in three. :) Thanks, Papa, for a fun day!

Apple Picking!
We went to Alldredge Orchard today to go apple picking! This is the 3rd year in a row that we have gone there, and the boys love it. They have chickens wandering all over the place, pedal go-karts to ride, goats to feed, a little house and a swingset to play on, and of course, apples to pick! Jack insisted on wearing his "hee haw" boots and hat, and Drew followed suit with his cowboy boots as well. They were quite a pair! They had a blast helping to pick the apples and playing and then we had some lunch and cookies in the country store before we left. We came home with our bag of apples - can't wait to eat them!
Ready for some serious apple picking!
Chasing chickens!
"Hello there, Mister Chicken"
Drew "working" on the tractor
Drew's favorite part!
"Howdy, partner!"
He picked the leaves off one by one. :)
Got our basketful!
Feeding the chickens!

My new tactic to getting a good picture - let them take a mean picture first, then they have to smile for the next one. It works! And the mean picture was kinda cute, too.
Liberty Fall Fest
It was a beautiful weekend for the Liberty Fall Festival. We headed out Saturday morning to watch the parade. The boys loved that and collected so much candy that I don't think they will even need to go trick-or-treating! Then we went down to the carnival and rode a few rides and had some lunch. It was a fun day!
Waiting for the parade to start!
The big slide - check out Jack's face! He looks terrified but cried when he couldn't go again!
Family Fun Night!
We went to the first Family Fun Night at Shoal Creek the other night. Mimi and Papa came with us and got to meet Drew's teacher. We ate dinner there and the kids got to run around and play games outside. Drew really liked seeing his teacher and some of his friends from his class! I didn't take many pictures, but this one was just too funny. Drew's exact words were, "Jack has to be the girl." :)
Cowboy Jack
Jack went to Famous Footwear with Mimi and I the other day to look for some shoes for me. Well....Jack and Mimi ended up back in the kids section and of course Jack spotted the Woody cowboy boots right away! He had them on in about two seconds flat, and there was NO getting out of that store without those boots. Oh - and they light up! As much as I hate character shoes, I have to admit he does look pretty cute in them. And they go perfect with his cowboy hat that he got in Estes Park this summer. He put both on when we got home and wore them pretty much all day!

To Infinity and Beyond!!!
Well Jack has definitely found his Halloween costume - and he is SO excited about it! I have a feeling we will be getting our money's worth out of this one! He didn't want to take it off. It's his new favorite outfit! Too cute to wait until Halloween to post. :)
Circus Time!
We went to the circus on Sunday - it was Jack's first time to go with us and he loved it! Drew was very excited to go this year, too. His favorite thing was the motorcycles that rode in the globe! Jack loved the elephants the best, I think. Of course we had to have some popcorn and cotton candy to complete the evening. :) It was a fun family night!
Silly boys ready to head to the circus!
The best one I could get!
Crazy!!!
There are 7 motorcycles in there!!
One Last Hurrah!
We went to Worlds of Fun for one last time on Labor Day so Daddy could go with us. It was very crowded, but it was a beautiful day and we got to ride some of their favorite rides. Can't wait to go back next year!
Jack's first time on the ferris wheel!
Camping in the Backyard!
Well we never made it camping this summer, so we decided to try the new tent out anyway - in the backyard! At first the boys weren't too sure about sleeping in it, but eventually Drew was "so excited" to sleep in the backyard! We gathered up the sleeping bags and pillows (and an air mattress for mommy and daddy!) and headed to the tent! It was a cool night so we had lots of blankets and sweatshirts! It took awhile for everyone to settle down, and Jack ended up on the air mattress with me, but eventually we all fell asleep! The boys slept great but I think Brian and I heard every city noise imaginable, and I was absolutely freezing. At about 2:00 in the morning we decided it was too cold to keep the boys outside, so we abandoned the tent and crawled in our cozy beds!! It was a fun experience, though, and hopefully next summer we will make it a little farther from home!
