Holiday Trains!

As you know, we love trains in this house. So we went to Metro North Mall to ride the old Christmas train they have there and also went to Union Station last weekend to see Kansas City Southern's Holiday Train. Lots of fun times!!!

On the Holiday Train they had model trains and all kinds of other things to look at. The boys thought it was fun to go inside a real train!

Christmas in the Park!

Last week we went out to Longview Lake to see their Christmas in the Park display for the first time. We got the boys bundled up in their jammies and piled in the car for the drive! The lights were SO neat and both boys loved it. There were lots of great displays! It was a weeknight so it wasn't too crowded. Both boys piled up front while we drove through and looked at the lights. Definitely a tradition we'll have to continue next year!

Igloo Fun!

We had to go up to Zona Rosa to check out the big igloo again this year. The boys had a blast playing in it!! It even had cool air blowing to make it feel cold like an igloo and bear skin rugs on the floor. Here are some pictures of my little Eskimos!

Christmas at Crown Center

Every year we go down to Crown Center at Christmas time. There is so much to see and do there! The boys played at the Crayola Playland while we waited to see Santa. Then they sat on Santa's lap - Jack was not a fan but at least there were no tears! After that we went to Union Station to ride the little train and look at the model train displays. Jack's favorite, by far! Lunch, of course, was at Fritz's, where the train brings your food! We even got to play outside on all the wooden trucks, tractors, and trains. It was a fun day!!

Trimming the Tree!

The boys really had fun decorating the Christmas tree this year. After they got done "driving" the ornaments all over the house, that is! You know, the tractor, digger, train, and truck ornaments! Drew's favorite was hanging all the ornaments WAY up high so he had an excuse to stand on the step stool. :) Jack was mostly interested in the Thomas the Train ornament and just kept taking it on and off. We are excited for Christmas!!!
