Toy Story 3 on Ice!!

We took the boys to see Toy Story 3 on Ice on Friday night - it was such a cute show!! Jack LOVES Buzz Lightyear and Woody so we knew he would really enjoy it - both boys never took their eyes off the ice! Of course Buzz and Woody had to come with us to the show....here is Buzz having a drink of Jack's water at dinner.... :) Not sure what he was saying here, but he had a grip on Woody the whole night! Notice his shirt - Buzz Lightyear without a head - because Jack's head is supposed to be the head - he wasn't sure what to think of that! The first thing he did when he saw it was point to his head, like, huh?!?! Buzz is missing something here!

Spring Break!

Drew and I were on spring break last week, so we all decided to take a quick, mini-vacation to Omaha! We left early Wednesday morning and drove straight to the Children's Museum - they have a wonderful Children's Museum there and the boys had an absolute blast. They could have played there for 2 days, I think! There is SO much to do there - a big room for "pretend", with firetrucks, a firestation, a house, grocery store, farm and water area; another big room full of balls and all sorts of contraptions to put the balls and air that moves them around in tubes and things. Drew loved this area, especially after he discovered a crane that you could operate to move balls from one place to another! There is also another room with artsy stuff - you can paint, draw, do face paint, play with puppets, etc - Drew walked through this room and then walked right back out. :) Total boy.

The Museum always has a traveling exhibit upstairs - this time it was "The Big Backyard" - tons of fun things to do - the boys might have actually liked this better than the Museum itself! A camping area, trike track, carousel, digging area, garden area, animal slides, big wooden playset, golf area, real rowboats and canoes to play in, and a big bar-b-que pit with play food and real-looking grills/fire and picnic tables - the works! They seriously LOVED all of it. Pretty much had to drag them out of there. I really wish Kansas City had something even close to this!

Putting out the fire in the little house!

Upstairs in the little house

These next several pictures were from the exhibit upstairs.

Warming his hands over the "campfire"!

Digging?!?! Of course!

Having our picnic lunch that we brought with us to the museum. Drew picked the smallest table he could find for the 4 of us to sit at.

Standing under the big bin that drops balls on you!

Drew's crane that he found - he was bossing everyone around and when we had to leave, he said, "But I LOVE this!"

Once we left the museum we went to check into our hotel. We stayed at Coco Key Water Resort. Jack and I had a little nap while Drew and Daddy went to check out the indoor waterpark! When Jack woke up we joined them - there was a kiddie pool with 2 slides, a lazy river, a bigger playstructure with lots of places to squirt water and go down slides, and 2 or 3 bigger waterslides. It was a pretty neat place - the boys had most of their fun in the kiddie pool where they could stay in the water, because it was warm in there but if you got out - brrrr!!! Jack wasn't a fan of that at all.
Here they are playing a little before dinner...

We got dressed and ordered pizza - in the meantime the boys had to ride down the hall on the luggage rack - duh, why wouldn't they?!

We went for a walk around the hotel and found a little playground by the regular indoor pool.

Drew pretending to play Guitar Hero in the arcade. :)

Back to the waterpark for a little more fun before bedtime! Here's Jack just takin it easy...

The next day was St. Patrick's Day, so we put on our green and headed to the Omaha Zoo! It was a beautiful day and they have a really neat zoo. We were a little disappointed that the train, tram, and carousel weren't running yet, and also the elephants and giraffes must have been somewhere else for the winter and hadn't come back yet.

One of the boys favorites was this gorilla - actually it was my favorite too! He was hilarious - he would look out the windows at all the people with this exact expression on his face - then after awhile he would come up and bang his hands really loud on the glass then run away like he didn't do it! It was so funny. The boys were content just watching him for a long time!

Mommy and her boys in green!

Little man Jack being silly...

Pretending to sleep...

This monkey in the rainforest was so noisy and Drew was "talking" to him - he thinks the monkey was talking back!

Going across the swinging bridge in the rainforest.

Checking out the big turtle.

Leave it to Drew to find something to drive at the zoo!

The penguins were so neat!
The last thing we did was the aquarium - it was very neat! Here is Jack trying to get the fish out of the tank!

Sharks!! They swam above you in the tunnel you could walk through - very cool!

Huge sting ray!

Trying to get a picture of Drew with a shark in the background.

Jellyfish!
