Jack has really been into playing with his Toy Story friends these past few days. He always wants me to "be" Woody and he will "be" Buzz. Or sometimes I have to "be" all of them and he will still just "be" Buzz! So the other day when he suggested this yet again, I said why don't we take them for a walk outside? To that Jack said, "Yeah! Let's do dat!" So he loaded up the whole gang in the wagon and we walked them to the park. Woody even got to slide a few times! He had them all sitting on the bench at one point, and had hung Woody and Jessie's hats on one of the posts on the playground. Then today we had to have a picnic in the backyard with all of his friends! He is even sleeping with Buzz and Woody right now. Love that boy!

The Zoo!
The weather was so beautiful this past weekend that we headed to the zoo on Saturday - along with most of the rest of Kansas City! It was crowded, but we still had lots of fun and saw most of the animals. We can't get enough of the polar bear (even I love it!) - it's so neat to stand right next to the glass and watch him swim and do back flips! He swam right in front of Jack's face - he wasn't sure what to think about that! We also saw tons of kangaroos and even a little baby in his mother's pouch. The line for the train was WAY too long, so the boys settled for riding the tram to Africa and then standing in a semi-long line to ride the skyfari since Daddy had never riden it before. We saw the giant hippos and crocodiles once we got off the ride, then saw the lions up close on our way back! The chimps were really funny, too - chasing each other around and one was really, really high up in a tree. Afterwards we went out south and had dinner at Old Chicago with Aunt Rachel and Uncle Brad because we had a few gifts for our new baby boy cousin! We were one worn out bunch after this trip, but it was a fun family day!
We love Great Grandpa's House!
Last Friday afternoon the boys and I went over to visit Great Grandpa Spotts. It had been raining that day so I wasn't sure we were going to go, but Drew insisted because he loves playing at Grandpa's house. The rain stopped and the sun came out just in time! Drew took over his bike and Jack took his scooter because Grandpa has a big, long driveway that is perfect for riding down. Grandpa really got a kick out of how fast Drew can ride his bike and had fun pretending to chase Jack. After we played for awhile we all went to Giovanni's (Grandpa's favorite) for dinner. Drew can't wait for summer so he can go over and help Grandpa with yardwork! :)
Jack was so funny - he would walk his scooter all the way around the little sidewalk in front of Grandpa's house, then sit down on it and coast all the way down.

Playing in the Rain...
The rain can't stop us from playing outside! Tonight after dinner the boys put on their boots, got some umbrellas, and headed out to play! Had to get a few pictures of them trying to drive the tractors and 4 wheeler while carrying umbrellas!
Drew so kindly shared his umbrella with Molly so she didn't get wet.
Jack decided it was too much of a pain to carry the umbrella so he settled for just getting wet while he rode the 4 wheeler.
It stopped raining so we decided to take a walk around the block and jump in some puddles...
It started raining again before we were even halfway around the block!
Found a really long worm on our walk!
Happy St. Patrick's Day!
It was another gorgeous day on St. Patrick's Day so we got all decked out in our green (except for Daddy with his K-State shirt!) and headed to the parade downtown. WOW - we had never been before and it was CRAZY...tons and tons of people but once we finally found a place to sit the boys had lots of fun watching the parade. They loved all the firetrucks, horses, bands and huge floats! Jack got very excited when Charlie Brown, Lucy and Snoopy from Worlds of Fun went by. :) We met Uncle Brad and Aunt Rachel there and had a great lunch at Spin Pizza afterwards.
Had to sit up high to be able to see over all the people!
Had to capture his little hands in his pockets. :)
Handsome little man!
Fun on Spring Break!
Jack and I had lots of fun during spring break last week - the weather was beautiful all week so we spent lots of time outside. We went to the park, had picnics in the backyard, blew bubbles and played on the swingset. I wish Drew had been out of school to enjoy it with us - his spring break is this week and now it's rainy! He got lots of outside time after school every day, though - we were pretty much outside from morning until night for the last week! I didn't take very many pictures because we were just too busy having fun. :) Here are a few from Penguin Park on Friday where we met Kinsey for a playdate.

Happy 3rd Birthday, Jack!!!
We celebrated Jack's birthday with the whole family on Saturday. It was a beautiful day so we even rented a Cars bounce house - the kids loved that!! Jack chose Lightning McQueen for his birthday theme (big surprise) so he had his favorite 2 characters on his cake and McQueen everywhere - including in most of his presents!! He loved opening all his gifts - in fact, I think we had 2 or 3 opened already before the party even got started - so hard to wait! :) He got so excited about each one and would say, "Oooo - let's open it! Let's open it!" He is being very protective of all his gifts - any time Drew tries to play with one Jack says, "Hey - I just got that for my birt-day!"
Jack got a little shy when everyone was singing "Happy Birthday" to him but loved blowing out the candles - there was one stubborn one but he kept blowing until it was out! We spent the rest of the day outside bouncing in the bounce house and driving tractors and then headed to dinner with Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Brad and Aunt Rachel. We were so distracted by the nice weather that I completely forgot to take any family pictures!! Happy 3rd Birthday, little man - we all love you bunches!!!
