It has been a tradition ever since I was a baby to cut down a real Christmas tree the weekend after Thanksgiving. Mom and Dad passed this tradition on to Brian and I and the boys, and Ryan, Susie and Sam. This year was extra fun because Grandma and Grandpa were here so they got to come too! Drew was very excited about that. We went to out to breakfast at Cracker Barrel on Saturday morning and then went on to Reindeer Lane to find the perfect tree! The weather was beautiful - we started off all bundled up but by the time we found our tree we were taking off layers! Reindeer Lane is a great little place with real reindeer, Santa, popcorn and hot chocolate, and horse drawn wagon rides. We had lots of fun!

Jack did not like being all bundled up...

Sam's first Christmas tree!!

Petting the horses! Their names were Stormy and Sunny - same names as my dogs from when I was a kid!
And we're off to find the perfect trees!!

These sleds are for pulling your tree once you cut it down, but they are much more fun to ride in!

Mommy and Jack!
Found it! The perfect tree. Jack did not want to let go of the sled long enough for a family picture, so this is as good as it gets!

Helping Daddy cut it down!

Tim-berrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!

Trying to pull the tree on the sled...a little heavy!
Jack wasn't so sure about Santa - liked looking at him but was NOT going to sit on his lap! So Mommy had to get in the picture. Not the first time. :)

Drew telling Santa that he "kind of forgot" what is on his list!!!
My sweet little guy!

Drew with his popcorn and hot chocolate mustache!
Drew and Jack got to sit up front with the driver when we went on the horse drawn wagon ride! Drew thought that was pretty cool.
