Drew's last day of Preschool and Open House

I can't believe that Drew is finished with Pre-K and is officially almost a kindergartner! His last day was Monday, and I got to go help with their "Olympic Day". The kids had lots of fun at the different stations: water guns, bubbles, corn/rice table, ring toss, chalk, big wheels, parachutes, frisbee, and fishing. After Olympic Day, the preschoolers got to watch as Mrs. Cox, the director, released some of their butterflies! They have been watching the life cycle as the caterpillars changed to chrysalises and then to butterflies. It was really neat! Tonight we went to school for the open house, which they have instead of a formal graduation. We had cookies and talked with his teacher, and got to see his special Faubion Preschool yearbook! When we got home we had a special graduation gift waiting in the garage - a new bike! He has really outgrown his little bike that he got when he was 3, so this was the perfect time for a new, bigger one! He hopped right on and took off! We went for a ride down to the pond, and he told me he was not going to ride through the puddles with this bike until it was older. :) And then he said, "I love it!" We love you, Drew, and are so proud of you!

Writing his name on the parking lot with the squirt gun!

Butterflies!

If you look closely at the end of that stick, you can see 2 butterflies being released.

Standing in front of the big banner his class made with their handprints. Drew's is the tallest green one!

So surprised about his new bike!

Ready to try it out!

And he's off!

Happy 1st Birthday, Sam!!!

My nephew Sam turns 1 on the 25th, so we celebrated his birthday with a party on Saturday! I couldn't resist posting some pictures - he was so cute and really got into that birthday cake!! We love you, Sam!

YUM!!!!

Drew's baseball fans...

Drew was so excited that Uncle Brad and Aunt Rachel came up to watch him play t-ball on Saturday. The Royals did a great job again this week! I didn't get any pictures of the game because I was too busy chasing after Jack who was very upset that he couldn't go out on the field with the big boys. Thanks for coming to my game, guys!

Jack had to get in the picture, too...

Fun at the Lake!

We went to the lake with Mimi and Papa last weekend - of course we picked the coldest weekend of the entire spring! It was cold and rainy when we got there, but the boys were so excited to ride on Mimi and Papa's new boat that we just had to take a quick ride when we got there on Friday. It was a good thing we did, because it only got colder the rest of the weekend! Drew had lots of fun fishing off the dock with Daddy and Papa, though, and Mommy and Mimi got to do a little shopping at the outlets, so that was fun! We can't wait to go back in a few weeks when it is warm!

Drew's first of 3 fish that he caught!

Jack loved throwing rocks into the lake - great fun!

Trying to catch a few more fish, but they weren't biting the next day!

Just another Wednesday in our house....

Worlds of Fun!!!

We got season passes to Worlds and Oceans of Fun this year, so we headed out to Worlds of Fun for the first time on Sunday! The boys had a blast - Jack was really into riding all the rides! Drew was a little upset that his favorite ride, the Viking Voyager, had a really long line and it was time to go home, but we will definitely be back lots this summer!

On the train with Mommy on Mother's Day.

Drew drove the taxi!

Bumper cars! They even let Jack drive these - it was pretty funny!

Notice the crazy expression on Drew's face, and then Jack a few seats back with his arms stretched out - who needs to hold on!!!

Shooting the balls - so much fun!

Drew was SO excited because we ran into his best friend from school, James, and his family! The boys got to play in the ball house together and ride this tugboat ride.

Jack's first rollercoaster ride!

Jack thought he was Woody when he was riding this horse - he said "Yee Haw!" the entire time!

That evening we went to Mimi and Papa's for a Mother's Day BBQ. Here is Jack "reading" Mimi her Mother's Day card!

Drew showing Mimi the card he made!
