Jack is 7 months old!!

Our little man Jack is 7 months old today!! He is turning into quite the little stinker....will grab anything and everything even remotely within his reach! So funny...his favorite is grabbing all of your dinner dishes while he sits on your lap as you attempt to eat. :) He LOVES drinking out of Mommy's water glass, too. The TV remote is also right up there with the favorites! He loves loves loves watching his big brother - we were out to dinner tonight and Drew was making faces and funny noises and had Jack seriously rolling he was laughing so hard. It was hilarious!! Jack is sitting up pretty well on his own, but he'll reach for toys and end up on his face or tummy! He's quickly learning how to get to the things he wants! No teeth yet but lots of slobber. He is such a happy baby and loves to jump in his johnny jump-up now that he has finally figured out how to make it work! When anyone says, "JUMP!", he starts bouncing away!! We love you, little guy!

Hanging out watching cartoons with Drew!

Apple Picking

On Saturday we took the boys apple picking at Alldredge Orchard near Platte City. It was the first time we have picked apples and Drew loved it! We came home with a huge bag full of apples. They had lots of other things to do at the orchard also. We love fall!!

Neither one of the boys was too fond of the chickens running around the orchard!

Drew, Daddy, and Jack racing the pedal go-carts around the track!

Drew's favorite, of course - the tractor! He played and played on that rusty old thing, pretending he was doing "his work"!

The trees were full of apples! Drew liked to pick them, but was more interested in pulling the big wagon around with the baskets in it. :)

Jack trying to help out!

Fun Filled Saturday!

We had a busy Saturday this past weekend. We started off the day at the American Royal parade - I have never seen so many horses in one place! They boys liked it, although Drew was disappointed that they didn't throw candy. :) He loved the fire truck and all the tractors though! Later that afternoon we went to the Liberty Fall Festival - Drew had fun riding the carnival rides and we walked around a little and Drew picked out tiny pumpkins for himself and Jack. It was a fun day!!

Mommy and her boys at the parade

Just chillin' in my stroller watching the parade go by!

Drew's favorite - the huge slide! I think we only went on this 5 times....

Good old carousel!

The Greatest Show on Earth

Mommy, Daddy, and Drew went to the Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey Circus today!! It was a great time, Drew was mesmerized throughout most of it! Some pretty amazing acts - it totally kept Brian and I entertained! Drew couldn't pick out his favorite part, but he was pretty uspet that there were no zebras. They had zebras last year, so we had been talking about them, and he kept waiting for them to come out but they weren't there this year. We'll just have to go back next year and by then Jack can come with us!

We went a little early for the pre-show activities down on the floor - we got to see lots of animal tricks and then Kelly the elephant painted a picture!

This guy riding the motorcycle on a highwire was right above us - pretty crazy!

Drew eating the HUGE box of popcorn that he had to have - great lunch we fed him today, huh!

A beautiful day for the park

On Friday, the boys and I went to English Landing park in Parkville. We met our neighbor and her two boys there and the kids got to play for awhile. They have a great park with 2 playgrounds and Drew had a great time. He took his bike because they have a path by the river and there is lots of room to run and ride! We started to get hungry so we ditched the bike for awhile, Drew hopped on the stroller and we hiked up the hill to Subway and got some sandwiches. We took our lunch back down by the playground and ate, then took a walk/bike ride down the path by the river. Jack was content to swing, then ride in the stroller and take a snooze! It was a great day!!

Jack was really hamming it up for me when he was swinging - everytime I'd put the camera up he would start laughing! That's my boy!! (That's why there are so many pictures - couldn't pick just one.) :)

Trying to grab the camera....

Little man just woke up...

The last few days.....

Mommy, Drew, and Jack have been enjoying hanging out on Mommy's days off! On Wednesday, we went to storytime at the library - the lady there is great, she read color and shape books, they sang songs, and played a game. Then they got to color a shape page. We checked out some books when we were done, then headed to Subway to have lunch with Great Grandpa Spotts. Drew loves spending time with him, it is so cute. And Grandpa LOVES the boys! Drew really had Jack giggling after lunch and Grandpa thought that was pretty funny. Grandpa was talking to Drew about how his tractor is broken and he was getting ready to go look for a new one. That is ALL Drew has talked about for the last 2 days now, about how he needs to call Grandpa Spotts and ask him if he has the new tractor yet, and we need to go see it. And if the phone rings, and it's Grandpa Spotts, I have to come get him right away. :)

Later that afternoon, playing in the front yard...

Drew's 3rd session of "Bitty Soccer" on Thursday - he loved giving that ball a great big kick and watching it fly into the goal on the first try!

The Boys

These are just some random pictures of the boys and what we've been up to the last few days! Enjoy!

On Saturday Drew and Mommy went to a Parents As Teachers "Big Trucks" event. It was right up Drew's alley, with every kind of truck imaginable - cement truck, trash truck, tractors, fire trucks, police cars, dump trucks, an RV, bucket truck, mail truck, horse trailer...and more I can't even think of! Of course, it was a perfect event for a 3 year old boy, and Mommy forgot the camera!!!! We did see a lot of people we knew, though, so a fellow NKCSD teacher let me borrow hers for a few pictures! I would have had lots more if I'd remembered our camera. We will definitely have to go back next year!

Here is Drew riding in the back seat of the fire truck...

Ready to connect the hoses!

Driving the cement truck

Could he be any happier?!

Later on Saturday we all went out to the Harley Davidson Open House. Our neighbor works there, and told us about the fun stuff they had for kids. We took a tour of the plant and Drew's favorite thing was, of course, the Power Wheels motorcycles that he got to ride! He now wants us to buy one. Hello, Santa?? :)

Drew, Jack, and Papa in their Chiefs gear - faithful fans even after their loss on Sunday.

Mmmmm, those peaches were SO good I'm going to eat the container they came in!!!

My little hunk.
