Aquarium Fun

On Monday we had plans to go to Deanna Rose with Rachel, Parker, Sarah and Brody but it was cool and rainy so at the last minute we decided to go to the aquarium instead!  We had only been there once, before Luke was born, and I had forgotten what all they had...it actually turned out to be great for the little boys!  Almost everything was down at their level and they could see the fish really well.  There was also a new Octonauts area for little ones that they really liked.  It was a fun morning!

That is one big sting ray!

Brody and Luke just learning a little about sting rays!  :)
Luke and Parker thought it was great fun to chase each other around this pole!

Happy Easter!

We had a wonderful Easter with family this past weekend.  We started on Saturday night by coloring eggs.  The boys always love this and they made a ton of eggs!  Luke got in on the action at the end but he just wanted to stick his hands in the dye.

On Easter morning these 3 were excited to follow the trail of jelly beans from their room to their Easter baskets and hunt for eggs!

They were excited that they got Snackeez cups!

Luke wasn't as into hunting eggs as I thought he'd be.  He would pick up an egg but just wanted to open it and dump the contents out.  They had M&Ms in them which I thought he might like but he just spit it out!

There's an egg in my shoe!
My attempt at some pics before church...

After church we went to Mimi and Papa's and had a great lunch.  The boys got awesome Easter baskets (wish I had gotten a picture!) from Mimi and Papa and had an egg hunt in the backyard.
Look at these handsome boys!
Cousins!

These two were way more into the bounce house than hunting eggs.  :)
Luke and Grandpa had a good time playing with some Legos that Jack had brought up from downstairs.  :)  I love how Grandpa is holding his hand!

Drew's Fishing Trip

Drew got to go on his 3rd annual spring break fishing trip with Papa at Roaring River last week!  They had beautiful weather and caught 18 fish!!!!  Holy cow!  They also did some hiking and saw a snake and a red fox.  I know Drew loved his one-on-one time with Papa and made lots of great memories - thanks for another great trip!

First day's catch!
This was all the fish they came home with!
2nd day's catch!
That's a lot of trout!
Drew's favorites for breakfast - biscuits and gravy and of course, bacon!

Jack isn't quite old enough to go on the trip yet, so he got to do some special things at home.  His friend Joey came over to play on Wednesday and they had a blast.  We also played a lot of basketball!
One night we made a trip to Build-a-Bear (his choice even with the options of mini-golf or a movie!) and he made a Green Bay Packers football bear named Jordy Nelson!!  Hahaha!  Then we made a stop at Sheridan's on the way home for some ice cream!
On Friday Sam came over to play and he and Jack had their first sleepover!  They did great and had so much fun!
