Goodies from Grandma and Grandpa!

Every year Grandma and Grandpa send the boys a box of Halloween goodies.  The box arrived the other day and as you can see, they barely got it in the front door before tearing into it!  They were so excited for the tins full of their favorite candy, stickers, a Frankenstein that sings "Monster Mash", and Halloween cupcake mix, icing and sprinkles!  Thanks, Grandma and Grandpa!!!

This is Drew after he opened the tin and discovered there were Kit Kats in there.  :)

Drew and Mommy's Date

Last week Drew had a day where they had early release from school.  The night before I asked him what he wanted to do on his afternoon off.  He said he wanted to go to dinner with just Momma.  (melt my heart here...)  I asked him where we should go and he picked Panera!  So when Brian got home, Drew and I headed out for our "date".  Daddy even gave him some cash so he could pay for us!  (He chickened out and made me do it, though.)  :)  We stopped by the book fair at school first and bought a few new books, then went to Panera and had dinner.  It was so nice to have some one-on-one time with my boy!  When we were done with dinner and about to head home, Drew says, "Hmmm, how about Lemon Tree for dessert?!"  It was FREEZING outside, but how do you say no to that?!

Here is a pic of my handsome boy and I.

Jack's Masterpiece

I couldn't resist posting a picture of Jack's latest preschool creation!  I don't think Drew ever drew this well at 3 years old?!  Or maybe I just don't remember...

Jack told his teacher that this was a picture of 2 Jacks.  :)  When I asked him later what he drew, first he told me the same thing, but then he said that the one in the front was me and the one in the back was him.  And the 2 circles at the bottom are the wheels, the other blue lines to the right of the orange square are the front of a truck and the window, and the orange square is his trailer full of stuff!  I have to admit, when I picked this up out of his folder at school this morning, all I could see were 2 faces and a random orange square he glued on.  But after his description, I can totally see it!!  Can you??  I love it!

Trunk or Treat!

Drew's Cub Scout pack had a trunk-or-treat event at school last night.  The boys were so excited and had lots of fun decorating the trunk of our car with spiderwebs!  They got to invite friends and of course got lots of candy.  It was a fun night!

The finished product.

There were a few spiders in my car!

How Tall This Fall?

When I was posting the pictures from the pumpkin patch this year, I thought it would be fun to look back at the boys' pictures by the "How Tall This Fall?" sign each year.  It just amazes me how much they have changed and grown!  I am sitting here looking at this very first picture of Drew and can't hardly believe that it is the same kid in the last picture!  And don't even get me started on Jack...not a day goes by that I don't find myself thinking, "What happened to my baby?!"

Happy Baptism Day, Parker!

Today was sweet Parker's baptism.  We went out to Brad and Rachel's this morning for a reception and lunch before heading to the church for the baptism.  Parker is one loved little boy!

Getting in a quick nap before the festivities.

The annual Zimmerman family picture for Grandma and Grandpa's Christmas card!  Jack and Parker weren't into it....  :)

Pumpkin Patch!

Yesterday was a beautiful day so we headed to Carolyn's Pumpkin Patch.  Grandma and Grandpa were in town so they got to come with us!  Right when we got there we ran into Ryan, Susie and Sam, so Sam got to watch the pig races with the boys.  I thought this was a cute picture of the 3 of them!

Enjoying a pumpkin donut - or 2!  Thanks, Grandma!!!

They love the trikes!

Drew wants one of these diggers for our backyard.  :)

On our way out to the pumpkin patch!

We found our perfect pumpkins!

Waiting for the train with Grandpa!

I have this picture every year since Drew was a baby...hmmm...that might be a fun post...

Thanks for a great day at the pumpkin patch, Grandma and Grandpa!

Red Barn Farm

We went to Red Barn Farm last weekend - it's so pretty there but the boys aren't as impressed anymore...they were disappointed that we weren't going to the "fun" pumpkin patch!  I think we had fun though...  :)

Checking out the chickens...the boys were "cock-a-doodle-doo"-ing at them and trying to get the rooster to respond back...he actually did once!

Riding some horses!

Getting so big....

These boys are at home on hay bales.  :)

Two cute little piggies!

And one woolly sheep.
