I can't believe that it has been THREE years since our little guy Jack was born. I remember that day like it was yesterday! He was such a great baby and is still such a good little boy. His little personality is really starting to show lately and he sure is Mommy's sweetheart. He is soooo sweet and always gives kisses and hugs and says "I lub you". He has also started hugging Drew at the bus stop every morning and always wants to tell him "good night" before he goes to bed. I never want to forget what a snugglebug he is too - loves to snuggle with Mommy at night. I hope that never changes! He is also very polite, always saying "please" and "no thank you" - I think we owe some of that to the babysitter. :) Jack continues to amaze me with some of the things he says and does - he can always put a smile on our faces and make us laugh!
Jack woke up today to 3 green balloons hanging from his doorway and a present waiting for him - his first question was why there weren't as many balloons as Drew had on his birthday! He chose pancakes for breakfast and was SO excited to open his big present this morning - "that whole box of race cars" that he saw at the Disney Store a few months ago. He told everyone that he wanted that box and "that's all". :) We had a great day together playing at Crown Center's animal exhibit and having lunch at Panera. I made one of his favorite dinners tonight and we spent time opening more presents, playing and having birthday cupcakes! One of my favorite things I want to remember about today was how every time someone called to tell Jack "Happy Birthday" and also when Brian told him that before he left for work this morning, Jack would say "Happy Birthday" back. :) He also sang "Happy Birthday" to himself with us this morning and tonight! It was so funny. We are waiting to have his big birthday party for a few more weeks so all the grandparents can be here for it.
We love you SO much, Jack - you have been such a blessing to our family the last 3 years. We love you up to the moon!!!
So excited to help Mommy make Lightning McQueen cupcakes!
"I'll do it myself - you don't need to help me!"
Turning the big elephant's trunk!
Jumping like a kangaroo!
Sliding down on his belly like the penguins!
In the bald eagle's nest! So neat!
He loved throwing the beanbags into the giraffe's holes!
Jumping over the alligators!
Picking out a birthday sucker
Coloring at the Crayola Store
He picked out a Toy Story coloring book - he was studying it pretty seriously!
Love this - he wanted to look at his coloring book while he ate!
Birthday cookie!
We threw 3 pennies in the fountains and made some wishes!
Monster trucks from Drew!
He shook this gift and said, "I think it's a Lightning McQueen puzzle!"
He loved this card that played "You've Got a Friend in Me" from Toy Story. Listened to it LOTS of times!
Cutest Lighting McQueen I've ever seen. :)
