Life Lately...

This post is just a hodge podge of pics of what we've been up to lately.
Jack dressed up for Western Day at school!  Have you ever seen a cuter cowboy?!?

Movie night - watching Spookly the Square Pumpkin - Luke pretty much thinks his brothers are a jungle gym.
Luke and I went to the zoo and saw the baby gorilla again - this time it was riding on the Mommy's back!  So cute!
In the words of Luke, 2 years old: "I play Toy Story.  Every Single Day."  #truestory

I just want to bottle him and his snuggles up!!
He had to be like big brothers and circle what he wanted in the toy catalog.  Yes, he's on the girl page...apparently he's asking Santa for Barbies this year.
Woody came along to the grocery store!
These two!!!
Just taking a break to read a little.  #bedhead
These two would live outside!
Just helped himself to a few more goldfish....
Jack's homework assignment was to disguise a turkey so the farmer wouldn't find him on Thanksgiving Day.  He disguised him as Batman so he could fly away!
Today was "dress like your future profession" day at school.  A football player and a baseball player, of course!

WORLD SERIES CHAMPS!!!

We had SOOOOO much fun cheering on the Royals in October!!!  Our evenings (or afternoons!) completely revolved around the Playoff and World Series games.  It was just so exciting!  It was also so neat to see all the fountains in the city dyed blue!  We visited one to take some fun pictures one weekend.

Here we are the morning after the Royals WON THE WORLD SERIES!!!  Jack didn't make it for the whole game - he pretty much put himself to bed around 9:00!  Drew got tired eventually, too, and went to bed when it looked like we were going to lose in the 9th.  I went and woke him up when we tied it up and went into extra innings!  Then the extra innings were pretty uneventful and he wanted to go back to bed.  He woke up when he heard the fireworks going off and we told him WE WON!!!!  It. Was. Incredible.  Love those boys in blue!!  Love these three boys in blue, too!!!

This is how every Royals fan in Kansas City was feeling after the month of October!
School was cancelled for the parade on Tuesday and we braved the crazy crowds with Mimi, Papa, Ryan, Susie and the boys.  It was NUTS.  It turned out we weren't in a very good location despite getting there really early, but with some shoulder rides the boys were able to see some of the parade, at least.

Such a crazy day!!  So glad my kiddos will have this to look back on someday.  Hopefully it happens again before another 30 years goes by!

Happy Halloween!

Our Halloween festivities started off with "wear your costume" day at Gymboree.  Woody was the cutest and had a blast with his friends!

I was in charge of Jack's school party and they played "ring around the pumpkin"...
Ate donuts with vampire teeth in the middle, spider cheese and crackers, and drank a fun, green, bubbly eyeball drink.

They also made pumpkin magnets!
I love this little Power Ranger!
The next day was Drew's party and they made slime!  So fun!
This game was pretty hilarious, too!  They had to push that little pumpkin around the cones using only their heads.
Drew helped a lot with the pumpkin carving this year!

Decorating pumpkin cookies with cousins!
We started Halloween night off with our annual visit to Great Grandpa's house.  He loves seeing the kids dressed up in their costumes.
Just chatting with Grandpa!
Our next stop was Mimi and Papa's house.  I love this picture - look at Brody standing at the door watching Luke come up!

I'm calling Drew's costume "Eric Hosmer after a tough loss" because of that face!  He has never been too into Halloween and is pretty much just there for the candy.  #sigh
Mimi had Halloween cookies!
And lots of fun goodies for the boys!

These two cousins were so cute!!!

I lost count of how many suckers Luke had that night....  #itwasalot
Ready to go trick-or-treating!!

Luke really got into it this year!  He ran right up to the doors and said "Trick or Treat!"  Then he wanted to reach in and pick out his own candy.  :)

Red Power Ranger, Woody, and Eric Hosmer!  Love these three!
