First Day of School!

This summer went by SO fast!  I really tried to soak up every minute of it because I knew it was going to be hard to send Jack off to Kindergarten.  It is very bittersweet - I am so excited for this new chapter he is embarking on but it just means he's growing up that much more!  Time needs to slow down!!!  He's been my little sidekick for so long - it's definitely weird only having Luke to talk to all day long and it's a lot quieter in our house!  The year is off to a great start - Jack loves Mrs. Rembecki, who was also Drew's kindergarten teacher, and Drew says that Mrs. Schneider is really nice.  He is excited about the laptop he will get next week - to use at school and to bring home!

I asked Jack why he kept standing like that...he said because that's what Mario does!

We parked down the street and walked with the boys on the first day.

Ready to take on his day!  *tear*

Jack and his buddies from his baseball team, Cale and Eli.

While the boys were at school, Luke and I tried to keep ourselves busy...we made chocolate chip cookies for them to eat after school and Luke had to try one - yum!

We rode around on the Batmobile...

He stood up in his wagon...

And then it was time to meet the bus!  The boys both had a great first day.

Luke is so excited to see his brothers every day after school - you can tell he missed them!  (This picture isn't from the first day but you get the idea.)  :)

Jack said, "Lukey, give me a hug!"  This baby boy loves his brothers.

Happy 2nd Birthday, Parker!

My nephew Parker's birthday is just 4 days before Luke's, so we had birthday celebrations all weekend!  My favorite 2 year old had a Mickey Mouse party this year and we all got together to eat pizza and yummy cupcakes!  My boys love Parker so much and he is pretty fond of his cousins, too.  The boys had fun helping him with his gifts and wrestling around on the floor!  Happy 2nd Birthday, Parker - we love you, buddy!

These next pictures weren't from his party but they were too sweet not to post.  Last week Rachel and Parker came up and we went shopping at Zona Rosa and out to lunch.  These 2 boys were hanging out in their strollers in Old Navy and Parker just reached over and held Luke's hand!

Happy 1st Birthday, Luke!!!

We had a super fun circus-themed party for Luke on the afternoon of his birthday.  It was so much fun planning and putting together - we had to do it up big since it's our LAST FIRST birthday!  We are so glad all of our family and some close friends were able to come celebrate with us.  The kids had a great time running around outside, playing games, climbing on the swingset and jumping in the little bounce house.  Luke didn't really know what to think about all the excitement but he loved the attention, that's for sure!  Thanks to Andrea for capturing every minute of his day!  He REALLY got into his cake, and there were too many cute pictures to just choose a few.  It was a perfect party for a special boy!  Thanks to everyone for coming and for all the wonderful gifts and cards!  Lukey is having a blast with all his new toys!

Daddy totally nailed the "circus tent" that I found on Pinterest!

This boy is ready to party!

Giving his cousin Parker a hug (totally unprompted!) when he arrived!

Drink table - red and blue barrel juice for the kiddos.

I bought these clown noses on Amazon last minute...so glad I did because they were a hit!

"Really, Mom?  This is all mine?!"

I loved all of his facial expressions as he ate his cake!

I totally forgot to put his hat on him when he was eating his cake!  Darn it!

Tried taking a family picture when the party was over...thought these attempts were too funny not to post.

Close enough!

Love this boy so much!!  Happy Birthday, Luke Michael!
