The Bear Went Over the Mountain!

Last night was Drew's first grade music performance!  They performed "The Bear Went Over the Mountain" and Drew was one of the chipmunks.  He even had a speaking part!  We are so proud of him - he did a great job and it was a really cute performance!  As he walked up on the risers at the beginning he just looked so much older than 7 to me - how is he almost in 2nd grade?!

"Yeah, Da Bear, what you really need is a little spring vacation."  :)

Happy Easter!

It was a beautiful day on Easter Sunday.  The boys were both up by 7:00 and so excited to see that the Easter Bunny had left them a trail of jelly beans from their beds all the way downstairs to their Easter baskets.  They had fun checking out their new goodies and then finding all the eggs the Easter Bunny had hidden!  We had pancakes for breakfast and then headed to church.  After church we all went over to Mimi and Papa's and had a great lunch and another couple Easter eggs hunts!

Jack dumped out the eggs immediately after finding them to check out the candy and money!

This must have been one tall Easter bunny to get eggs all the way up there!

My handsome boys ready for church!

Drew wasn't in the picture taking mood...and they were having so much fun at Mimi's and wanted to change into shorts so we never even got a family picture.  This is as close as we got!

Checking out their Easter goodies in their baskets from Mimi and Papa!  The baby even got a soft, snuggly bear!

Jack and Sam had their Easter egg hunt in the backyard first.  They had a blast looking for all the eggs!

Drew and Emma were next!

Ready for Easter!

We had fun getting ready for Easter last Saturday when we made a bunny cake and colored Easter eggs.  The boys enjoyed decorating the cake with jelly beans and licorice and they made some pretty cool eggs, too!

It's a.........

The boys are excited to announce that they are going to have a baby BROTHER in August!  They got to go with us last Thursday to my ultrasound where we found out the news!  They were both happy it was a boy but on the way to the car Jack said, "Well, when we have a girl, I have a really good name - Sally."  (Like the car from the Cars movie.)  Um, sorry, buddy, I don't think that's gonna happen!  I told Brian that he just saved a whole lot of money.  :)  Everything looked great with the baby and the doctor said he weighed about 10 oz.  That evening Mimi and Papa, Susie, Sam and Brody (Ryan was at work), Kevin and Sara, and Brad, Rachel and Parker all came up for the big announcement!  We also got Aunt Debbie on Facetime and tried to get Grandma and Grandpa on speaker phone but they weren't home.  We called them later with the news!  The boys thought it was fun to open the big box and watch the blue balloons float up to let everyone know it is a BOY!  Jack and Drew made sure to hand the balloons out to Sam and Parker to take home, too.

We are getting more and more excited about this new addition but still have lots to do!  I have been feeling him move a lot lately which is so fun.  We are so blessed with our 3 boys!

Jack's Easter Party

Jack had an Easter party at preschool last Thursday.  We took bags of snacks that looked like carrots with cheesy bunnies in them and filled 14 eggs with treats for the Easter egg hunt!  It was a fun party!

First thing they did was decorate their bag to collect their eggs in.

Snacks, always Jack's favorite part!!

Playing "toss the egg into the basket"!

Seeing how far they could hop like a bunny!

While the parents hid the Easter eggs in the classroom, they went out in the other room and read a story.  Then the Easter bunny showed up!  Jack did not want his picture taken with him, though - he said, "The Easter bunny doesn't have a person face!!!  It has a bunny face!"  I agree, buddy.  :)

On the hunt for eggs!
