Halloween Party!

Drew's kindergarten Halloween party was yesterday afternoon!  The kids got to change into their costumes and parade around the school.  They played "Pin the Tail on the Black Cat", made a fun craft, and decorated sugar cookies!  Drew is a S.W.A.T. team guy this year - so watch out!!

Apparently S.W.A.T. cops do not smile.

Me and my boy!  I will take what I can get, smile or not......
Drew's favorite part - the snacks!  He loved the snack I brought - chex mix with M&Ms and candy corn mixed in!
He was excited because he got to leave school with Mom instead of riding the bus!

Pumpkin Patch - Take 2

We had to go back to Carolyn's Pumpkin Patch one more time before Halloween because we still had the 3 train tickets that we bought the day that the train derailed!  So we headed out there on Sunday morning and the boys got to do all the things they missed last time.  We love that place!

Finally - we got to ride the train!

Putting his hands up in the tunnel!
Jack got bored waiting for the pig races so he just squatted down by this tree!
Seriously - how did they get so big?!

I said, "Let's go take a picture sitting by some pumpkins" and Jack ran to the nearest one and plopped down.  :)

Fall Fun at the Zoo!

We met Beth, Hailey and Kinsey at the zoo on Saturday - we haven't seen them since summer and the kids had lots of fun together!  Loved checking out the back-flipping polar bear and riding the new African "skyfari".  Aside from the bees that were swarming our picnic lunch, it was a perfect outing!

This bird was biting at Drew's fingers through the glass!  It was so funny!

Going over the zebras - it was pretty cool!

Best picture I could get of all 4 of them!

More Fun at the Lake!

We took advantage of Drew's day off of school a few weeks ago and went to the lake for one last time before winter.  The weather was great and we had fun fishing and boating!  We even ventured out on Saturday to Ha Ha Tonka State Park and did some hiking and sightseeing.  Drew loved this - we climbed down some big rocks to this "natural bridge" that you could go under - it was pretty cool!  We also walked down 316 steps (and back up 316 steps!) to see the springs.  It was beautiful!  Then we hiked up to this castle that had burned down a long time ago and only some of the stone walls remained - it was a very neat place to visit!  We will all miss the lake and can't wait to go back next summer!
Jack's version of fishing - grabbing minnows out of the bucket and throwing them in the lake!
Look who's actually doing the fishing...
This is how Drew fished on the first day...
And then claimed the fish as his own!!

We made it down to the springs!

One last boat ride!
Feeding the ducks!
The fish were biting much more the 2nd day!  Jack and Daddy caught one!
Drew caught 3 all by himself!!
