Jack's Lost Tooth!

I cannot even believe I am writing this post but Jack lost his first tooth on Monday night!  It had been kind of wiggly for awhile, but that night we were sitting at the table putting together Legos and he was wiggling it so much that it was starting to bleed.  So I asked him if he wanted me to pull it out and he said yes!  We got a kleenex and - yank - out it came!  I just can't believe he is old enough to be losing teeth!!  He was so excited and proud.  And has such a cute little space in there now!  We had to wash his tooth to make it shiny before he put it in the tooth fairy box!!  He put it under his pillow and woke up to a ten dollar bill!!

Jack's Friend Party

Jack had a birthday party with his friends on Sunday at Mercury Gymnastics.  He wanted a Minecraft theme so of course we made it happen!  He had a great time running around and playing with all of his cousins and buddies!  We ate a delicious chocolate cake and he got many great gifts.  Thanks to everyone who came and helped our big guy celebrate the big SIX!

Luke and Brody jumping away!
Jack was going so fast the whole time but I managed to get a few pictures, as blurry as they might be!

Happy 6th Birthday, Jack Ryan!

Jack turned 6 years old this past weekend!  I can't even believe it's been 6 years since we brought this little guy into our family.  He is the sweetest kiddo (most of the time!) and has the kindest heart.  He's always making pictures for his family and writing me notes and drawing me hearts.  He also loves to give things to his friends!  I just love how he's always thinking of others.  When this kid gets something in his head, there's no stopping him - he's going to do it!  He's doing a great job in kindergarten and has made lots of buddies!  He's a lego lovin, sports playin sweetheart with a killer dimple and we love him to pieces!

He was SO excited the few weeks leading up to his birthday.  He even came home from school one day with this countdown!  We hung it on the fridge and he crossed off each day!  So funny!
I had lunch with him at school the day before his birthday.  Here he is with his little buddies!

Last day as a 5 year old!!!
He woke up on his birthday to 6 balloons hanging from his doorway and a big present outside his door!  He was up at 6 AM - just couldn't wait any longer!

He had another gift waiting for him at the breakfast table...
Football and baseball cards and his own binder to collect them in!  He loved it!
We had donuts for breakfast - I'm holding the candle because we couldn't let any wax get on his donut!
He had a basketball game that morning so we headed there after breakfast and a little lego building!

I love this picture...I can just see it side-by-side when he's playing high school ball!

We tried to take him out for a birthday lunch but all he wanted to do was come home, eat a peanut butter sandwich and open some presents!  So that's what we did!  Luke was very into helping.  :)  And Jack was so sweet to let him.
Drew got him his own K-State basketball so he would quit using his.  :)

He is so into Minecraft lately and lego building...we spent the rest of the afternoon building legos together!  It was the perfect day for Jack.  :)

That night we had family over for pizza, cupcakes and presents.  He had a blast playing with Sam and building MORE legos!!
Reading his cards.  :)

Can't believe this boy is SIX!!!!
Best family pic we could get.  I'll take it.  Love the way Jack's looking up at Drew.  :)

Time sure flies.  Trying to soak up every minute.  We love you, Jack Ryan!
