Happy Valentine's Day!

It has been quite a week full of Valentine's festivities!  I'll let the pictures do most of the talkin...

Drew's football field Valentine box!

I was in charge of Drew's party at school but 2nd grade boys are way too cool for pictures, so I snapped a pic of his desk instead.  :)  They had pink lemonade to mix into their water to make a pink Valentine drink and cookies to start off the party, then we made bookmarks with heart thumbprints and played a game where they had to use a straw to blow a q-tip (the "arrow") into a heart shaped bowl.  They had lots of fun!

The next day was Jack's party at school and he had (of course) a Ninja Turtle Valentine box.  :)

Jack and his friend Rogan.  (Didn't realize until after the fact that his eyes were closed.)

The boys got Valentines in the mail from Mimi and Papa with money in them!

Aren't they the most handsome boys?!?

The boys didn't have school on Valentine's Day so I took them out to lunch at Panera.

When we got home later that day they found a box in the mail from Grandma and Grandpa!  They each got a card with money and then a big mailbox full of Valentine candy!  Luke got a Valentine's bib that he grabbed and started chewing on right away!

We had Papa Murphy's heart shaped pizza for dinner!

Then the boys got to open a little Valentine's gift from Mommy and Daddy.

I love my 4 Valentine's!!!

Luke is SIX months old!

Our little guy turned SIX months old on the 9th!  I can't believe that half a year has flown by and in another short 6 months we'll be celebrating his 1st birthday!?!?  He is such a happy baby and is sitting up by himself now.  He was doing really good with that but now he only lasts a few seconds before he's trying to get at something way far out in front of him so he topples over forward!  One of these days he's just going to take off crawling when I'm not looking.  He loves to play with his feet and takes his socks off as fast as I can put them on.  Other favorite things include anything that plays music, anything he can chew on or grab, and when his brothers play with him!  He watches them all the time and smiles great big whenever they give him any attention!  Just recently he's been giving "kisses" (we think...) - I will say to give Mommy kisses and he'll laugh and open his mouth at me...and Jack likes to put his cheek right up to Luke's mouth so Luke will open it and "give him a kiss"...he has started making "ahhhhhhh" noises while he does this too - it's so funny!

Luke has also had his first tastes of baby food in the last week...so far we've tried squash and sweet potatoes and he isn't a fan of either.  With the sweet potatoes he will clamp his mouth shut the whole time I'm trying to get him to eat!  We're going to have to try some fruits next and see if he likes those better!  He loves bouncing in his exersaucer and johnny jump-up - if you say, "jump! jump!" he will get a big smile and jump like crazy!  He is at such a fun age and just makes us smile every day!  We love you bunches, Lukie!

My feet are my favorite plaything!

See??  I even play with them when I'm eating!

Not sure about this food stuff...

But I think it's funny that you act all silly trying to get me to eat it!

Watching The View!

Daddy let me chew on a carrot...

We put together his car that Mimi and Papa got him for Christmas now that he can sit up in it - he thinks this is great fun and is "driving" all over the place!  Big brothers like it, too!

Jack and Mommy's Date

Last Saturday Drew had a birthday party at the movies to see the new Lego Movie, so I took Jack to a different theater to see it ourselves.  He loved it of course, being the lego fan that he is - and it helped that it had Batman in it!  It was a fun night with my little man!

SNOW SNOW and more SNOW!

The first week of February we had a huge snowstorm!  The boys had FOUR snow days that week.  The snow started on Tuesday morning and it snowed ALL day long.  It was so pretty!  Brian was in Atlanta so Drew was my big helper and shoveled the driveway several times that day while the snow piled up.  He loved every minute of it - he is such a hard worker!  We played outside that morning while Luke took a nap.  Jack helped a little too but had more fun catching snowflakes on his tongue, making snow angels and sliding down the snowy slide!

Here is what our patio table looked like by Wednesday morning!

Another day off school - the kids played outside a little bit but it was COLD!!  Luke watched from the window.  :)

We made cookies...

Took some naps...

Stayed in our p.j.s pretty much for the entire 4 days...and played and played and played!

On Thursday afternoon I found this note taped to Drew's door...
"I am board.  If you have an idea write it on the back."

So the next morning he found a list from Mommy with LOTS of ideas on it!  Dust, vacuum, make your Valentine box, read a book, do some math...haha!  I also put some fun things on there and I realized I had officially lost my mind when I let them play with moon sand in the living room.........
