Thursday morning we rented bikes and rode the bike path through Breckenridge and down by the river.
This kid ventured off the paved road and rode on the little path right by the river! He even convinced me to come down there for a little bit!
It was such a pretty ride and we stopped by the river to have some snacks and throw some rocks. Really - our rock throwing game was STRONG during this trip. :)
I don't have any pictures of this but on the way back, we rode by a skateboard park in town. There were all kinds of people (even little kids who couldn't have been older than 6!) skateboarding on the ramps. The boys were in awe and it was then that Jack decided he wants a skateboard and skateboard ramp for Christmas. And of course that means Luke does, too.
We headed back and had some lunch and then rode the gondola back up to the Peak 8 fun park to ride the roller coaster that wasn't working when we were there earlier in the week. We had already bought the tickets for it so they said we could come back and use them when it was up and running again. Of course - we couldn't do anything else up there because we would have had to pay for it again, so Luke wasn't very happy! We did get to climb on the mountain of snow again, though, for a little bit until it started sprinkling. The gondola was shut down because of lightning, so we had to ride a bus back down the mountain. That was not nearly as fun as the gondola.
Ready for the roller coaster ride!
We went to check out this park I had heard about, but we didn't see a playground there. It just so happened to be right next to the elementary school, though, so we played on that playground for awhile!
Leftover snow on the school playground! In July!
We took another little hike in between the rain because I kept trying to find this "Fairy Forest" that the owners of the townhouse we were renting told us about - well we never did find it but we found this cool mountain bike course! And we got caught in the rain on the way back!
We cooked dinner at home and then went out for one more scoop of ice cream on our last night! We also had to go back to the store where we bought Jack's Colorado hat because Luke kept insisting that he needed one, too!
