We kicked off the 4th of July weekend with the Worlds of Fun fireworks. We went to the parking lot of Oceans of Fun since it was closed and had a great seat in the parking lot. We couldn't see the fireworks that good though because the sky was kind of cloudy and foggy! It was a chilly night and it was so strange to need blankets! As we were getting in the car to head there, Jack came down wearing his Daniel Boone raccoon hat - so his head would stay warm - hahahaha!!! And somehow Luke snuck a Woody hat in the car too. Never a dull moment!
On the 4th we did our traditional fireworks and had dinner with Mimi, Papa, Dennis, Sarah and Brody.
Then we decided to venture out on the lake to watch the fireworks. It was a crazy adventure since it was crowded and very dark afterwards, but it was the best fireworks display I have ever seen!
