Friday morning we woke up, packed up the car and headed to get some donuts! We decided that we needed one more gondola ride just for fun, so we took our donuts and milk and ate them on the gondola!
After our ride, we drove about 45 minutes to check out the town of Vail for a few hours. It ended up being so fun and beautiful that a few hours turned into almost 4:00!!! The drive there through the mountains was very pretty.
They had a mini golf course at the base of the mountains in Vail so we had to check that out first!
This was Lionshead Village. It was such a cute little area with shops and lots of restaurants.
We ate lunch at the Blue Moose - they had the best pizza!!!
Then we took the shuttle over to Vail Village. This was a bigger area with more shops, restaurants, parks, and an awesome river running through it.
We hung out here while the boys played on the rocks and in the water. We seriously could have stayed here all day - it was beautiful and just so fun!

They had the best little Pirate ship park there. We had to drag them away from it! Seriously - if it wouldn't have been so late in the day we would have tried to find a hotel room - I wanted to live there! It didn't hurt that the weather was perfect, too!
This little guy was such a trooper on this trip. He didn't take a nap all week except for our travel days, ate his weight in ice cream and not much else, and was just go with the flow happy the whole entire time!
Sadly, we finally had to head back to our car and start the drive back to Kansas. We had such a fun week in Colorado and can't wait to go back!
